The first Remembrance Day Parade since 2019 attracted a great turnout from the group with 51 children, 4 young leaders and 8 leaders attending despite the poor weather.
1st November 2023
Some of the scouts took part in a joint session with the Friends of Chellaston Brickworks Local Nature Reserve which involved tree planting and cutting away scrub.
8th October 2023
15 Scouts and 3 leaders took part in the Kinder Challenge Hike and all successfully completed the challenge. The results can be viewed here.

The Squirrels drey started, and in doing so became the first in the district.
10th September 2023
The Scouts went Bell Boating on the River Derwent at Darley Abbey. The event started off from the Midland Canoe Club and was run by the Derbyshire Scouts SASU.

Kinder Challenge Practice Hike
The scouts took part in a practice hike for the Kinder Challenge event, which covered 11 miles in the Peak District, starting from and finishing in Chapel-en-le-Frith. The actual event takes place on 8th October 2023 and the scouts have entered 3 teams.

The store room has been greatly improved with the addition of 4 shelving units.

The planter, supplied by the Council, has been relocated and planted up. Many thanks to Swarkestone Nursery and Friends of Chellaston Brickworks for supplying the plants free of charge.
